Why utah?
Utah gives us a little bit of everything: endless fields of colorful blooms. Dramatic mountain backdrops. The otherworldly Bonneville Salt Flats. Modern city streets. Gorgeous architecture. And those wide-open Western landscapes that make you feel like you're somewhere completely different. And most importantly? It gives us variety. Instead of spending an entire senior session in one location, we can create an entire collection that feels like several completely different shoots. One moment we're surrounded by colorful flowers at Beck Farms, the next we're creating high-fashion editorial portraits on the endless white salt flats, and then we're wandering through downtown Salt Lake City for that cool, modern city look. It's colorful, editorial, romantic, adventurous, and completely unexpected. And it's anything but a traditional senior session.

**Travel allowances represent the maximum amount allocated toward eligible travel expenses and are not cash credits or refundable amounts. Unused portions of an allowance do not have a cash value and cannot be applied toward other portions of the experience. Expenses exceeding the included allowance are the responsibility of the client.

Airfare
Your Destination Senior Experience includes a round-trip airfare allowance of up to $500 per traveler. We'll coordinate travel plans and help make sure everyone arrives in SLC around the same time so we can start the experience together. Airfare exceeding the included allowance is the responsibility of the client. Unused airfare allowance is not refundable or transferable and does not have cash value.
Hotel
You won't have to find your own hotel. I'll handle it. You and your parent will stay in one room, at the same selected hotel as the photographer, chosen based on location, availability, safety, and the overall itinerary. Your package includes accommodations budgeted at up to $350/night. The goal is to keep everyone together and close to the action so we're not spending half the trip driving back and forth.
Transport
Once you arrive in SLC, I'll handle the transportation. A rental vehicle will be provided for transportation throughout the scheduled Destination Senior Experience. That means no figuring out rideshares between locations and no worrying about getting from the hotel to your session. Fuel and standard parking are included. Think of me as your photographer and personal chauffeur!
Meals
Food is part of the experience, too. Your package includes a $130 daily dining allowance per traveler for meals included in the scheduled itinerary. We'll choose restaurants that fit the itinerary and Utah experience, while also leaving room for you to experience some of the city's food scene. Personal purchases, snacks, room service, and meals outside the scheduled itinerary are not included.
Who comes?
THE SENIOR + ONE PARENT
This experience is designed for one senior and one parent/guardian. Your parent gets to come along, enjoy Utah with you, and be part of the experience without having to worry about coordinating the trip themselves.
Important Details
Because this is a destination experience, dates and availability are limited.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW:
Your dates matter. The experience is scheduled around hotel availability, airfare, location availability, photography regulations, and the overall itinerary.
The itinerary may change. Weather, closures, permits, traffic, or circumstances outside of our control may require us to adjust locations or timing.
Travel allowances are not cash credits. Unused airfare, hotel, or dining allowances are not refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.
Additional travel costs are the client's responsibility. If airfare or other eligible travel expenses exceed the included allowance, the difference will be paid by the client.
Hotel selection is handled by M.L. Arthur Photography. The hotel will be selected based on availability, location, itinerary, and the included accommodation budget.
This is a photography experience first. While we'll absolutely have time to explore Boston, the itinerary is built around creating an incredible senior gallery.

How many days is the experience?
The Utah experience (The Salt Society) is 3 days and 2 nights, with photography taking place throughout the trip.
How long is each photo shoot?
Each photo session will be up to 2 hours!
Do we have to find our own flights/hotel?
Nope. I'll coordinate the travel logistics with you. Your package includes an airfare allowance of up to $500 per traveler, and hotel allowance of up to $350 per night.
I'll select and book the hotel for the experience. We will all stay in the same hotel, to say time!
What if our flight doesn't cost exactly $500/person
The unused portion of the airfare allowance does not become cash or a refund. The allowance is simply the maximum amount included toward your airfare.
You're welcome to choose a more expensive flight, but the amount over the $500 included allowance would be your responsibility.
Can my mom come?
Absolutely. This experience includes one parent/guardian traveling with the seniors. (NOT one parent per senior, just one parent).
Can I bring more than one parent?
Please inquire before booking. Additional travelers may require additional accommodations and transportation arrangements.
Can my friend come?
The Salt Society is built around 2-3 girls (+ one parent/guardian)! I absolutely want your friends to come.

What if it rains?
Weather is one of the few things we can’t control, but we can absolutely work around it. If rain is expected, I’ll monitor the forecast closely and adjust the timing or order of our locations when possible. We may also move a session to a different location. But rain isn't a huge deal in Utah, most of the time.
How many outfits do I get for photos?
7 outfits (2-3 per location) are included. I can help you plan your wardrobe so each location has its own look and your gallery feels cohesive.
