If you follow me..
or if you have followed me for any period of time, you know that Dogwood Farms is the IT GIRL of locations and is my number one favorite location to shoot anyone, but especially seniors! In spring 2026, I did three senior sessions in the flower fields, but in the September 2026, I was able to do nine senior sessions there! (Law & Order SVU voice) "these are their stories. bum bum."
Let's Start with the spring sessions!
McCartney, Reagan, and Aiyana
Aiyana is Native American, and she was actually the first person I ever had the honor of photographing in her cultural attire! Getting to capture such a meaningful part of her heritage was such a special experience, and definitely something I’ll always remember.
Reagan was one of my seniors who has since gone on to attend UNC, so I absolutely loved getting the chance to capture her showing off her college spirit during her session! It was such a fun way to incorporate this exciting next chapter of her life into her senior photos.
McCartney was one of my 2026 Senior Reps, so I already knew this session was going to be a special one! One of the photos from this session ended up receiving the most votes in my senior style guide cover contest, earning her a spot on the cover! It was so exciting to see one of her images represent my seniors and my brand for the entire year.
Let's get into september 2026!
I can never say too many good things about this location. It is perfect no matter what your vibe. They have enough fields that no matter if you want pink and feminine, or sunflower and rustic, you won't leave disappointed. To my knowledge, they have never had these sunflowers where they did this season! (They may have in the past but I am unaware). But this gorgeous field sat just below their iconic trio of crosses and ugh it was the perfect scenery!
September 2026 senior sessions
I'm so thankful for all of the seniors and their parents who trust me with such an incredibly important milestone in their lives! There's nothing I love more than taking a beautiful girl, and capturing her beauty, especially in a place this beautiful!

why i love senior sessions!
There is just something about senior photography that I will never get tired of. I love getting to meet girls right at this really exciting point in their lives, when they are figuring out who they are, what they love, and where they are headed next. Every senior is completely different, and I love getting to take their ideas, outfits, personalities, and random Pinterest inspo and turn it into a gallery that feels SO them. Whether we are running around downtown, blasting music in the car between locations, hyping each other up over the perfect photo, or laughing way too hard at something completely random, senior sessions are always an experience. I don't just want to take pretty pictures. I want my seniors to leave their session feeling confident, celebrated, and like they just had the most fun day ever. Getting to be part of such a huge milestone is honestly one of my favorite parts of being a photographer.
