Maggie's Senior Session, class of 2027

Name a better way to start off my photography blog journey, and kick off October, than by sharing one of my absolute favorite senior galleries so far this year! ...I'll wait!

Welcome to Maggie's Senior Session! Not only was Maggie the most gorgeous girl, but she (and her mom, shoutout to mama Carroll) was the absolutely sweetest!

The Fits

When I think of my dream client, this is what I mean. She came with the looks and the vibes!

Outfit 1

You can never go wrong with white, in my books! Especially something short, that you can pair with your cap + gown! But what I loved most about this outfit was that it wasn't your traditional white dress, it was a 2 piece set, and I loved the lace detailing!

Outfit 2

Now this is one of my favorite outfits to date! When I hear "yellow" I think of school bus yellow and there's nothing wrong with that; a lot of girls can really pull that off. But when Maggie showed up in this butter yellow 2 piece, I wanted to screeeeam! Perfection!

Outfit 3

I've seen denim done a million times over! It's so timeless and goes with so many different vibes; denim always works! But this is probably my favorite denim look ever! I absolutely loved the boots she paired with it too!

YOU CAN FIND HER WHITE 2 PIECE SET AND DENIM DRESS AT HER MOM'S BOUTIQUE HALF PAST THREE, AND YOU CAN FIND THE YELLOW SET AT PRINCESS POLLY!

"omg they’re perfect! i love them so much! thank you!!!"

I always love when I finish editing a session and think to myself "that's my favorite session I've ever done" but there's something so special about having a client who is just as in love with their session as I am! I know I say this about almost all of my sessions, but this one truly was one of my favorites to date!

What 3 words describe Maggie best?

10/10 NO NOTES!

Overall, I have to say that this session is truly one of my favorites! From start to finish, I had such a wonderful time getting to meet Maggie and capture this special season of life for her. There is something so exciting about senior sessions because they mark the beginning of such a big transition, and I love getting to be a small part of that experience for each of my girls! Senior year is filled with so many exciting things, new experiences, and memories that deserve to be celebrated, and I hope these photos serve as a little reminder of just how special this time in her life really is.

I am so incredibly glad Maggie and her mom chose me to document the beginning of her final year of high school! Being trusted with something as meaningful as senior portraits is never something I will take lightly. These photos become more than just pretty pictures; they become a way to look back on this chapter of life long after the last bell rings and graduation day has come and gone. I know there are so many photographers out there, and the fact that they chose little ol me to be a part of such an important milestone truly means the world to me! Getting to meet new families, build connections with my seniors, and create something they can look back on for years to come is one of my absolute favorite parts of what I do. Maggie, I am so happy I got to be a part of this exciting chapter for you, and I hope you love looking back on these photos as much as I loved creating them!

The Location📍

I just have to take a moment to shoutout Dogwood Farms for being my absolute favorite photo location for my seniors (and really every type of session too)! These flower fields sit on several acres in Belews Creek, the sunsets are to die for, and you can even catch a glimpse of Pilot Mountain in the background!

To say I am obsessed with this place is an understatement. I started doing a few sessions here back in 2023, when I would do a few sessions in the spring time. Since then, my photography business has taken off and is thriving and I usually get fully booked at this location for both spring and fall sessions! In September 2026 alone, I did 13 full sessions just at Dogwood Farms!
